Our Life Skills Program addresses specific needs in your home and community to assist Members in managing the day to day responsibilities and increase their independence. Goals may be related to household tasks such as meal preparation or money management.
Join us for one of our Art & Creativity groups as we use a variety of art mediums to improve skills in the areas of fine motor, visual perception and creativity. Groups are 60-90 minutes in the length. Families or caregivers of persons with brain injury or stroke are welcome to participate as well!
This service is for Members who desire a return to work or seek a meaningful volunteer position. Our program assesses strengths, residual impairments and barriers to determine a successful placement.
Work Readiness is critical in knowing how to be successful.

Synapse House is a nonprofit, 501c3 organization, approved vendor by the State of Illinois Dept. of Rehabilitation Services for Job Coaching and Supported Employment, accredited for Community Integration by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
Synapse House staff happily work with members and their families to help them make the most of social services available in their area. Benefits Education consultations are available for a separate fee and reduced rate for Clubhouse Members.
